Memorial Day on the River

We spent Memorial day camping. We had a big group, I think there were 35 campers this time. I always love our trips to the river. It is so pretty in that part of Texas. We went to the Gristmill for dinner on Friday, floated the river on Saturday, and floated the Comal on Sunday. The weekend went by too fast, but we enjoyed every minute of it.

Rookie Little League Champions

WOW, they did it. The Hook's team won the League City Little League Rookie Championship game. And how lucky were we to get such great coaches and on a great team Collin's first year of Baseball. We really had a great time. Collin learned so much and is looking forward to playing next season.

This should be in the news paper don't you think!
Paw-Paw came out at for the game.

We really enjoyed this season. Collin woke up on Sunday morning and thought it was all a dream. You should have seen the smile on his face when he looked up at the trophies and realized it wasn't a dream. These are experiences that will always be cherished!

I am currently out of town in California in Training. Tim did an outstanding job of texting me a play by play of the entire game. I was so sad to miss. Here is the play by by -

7:18 - 8 to 12 after 4th inning Hooks losing
7:20 - Collin had a double in the 2nd inning and truck out in the 4th
7:39 - 13 to 13 after 5 innings, Holy Crap!
7:41 - Last inning
I asked are we home?
7:43 - Yes
7:53 - 13 to 16 Hooks going up to bat (we are down by 3)
7:58 - Collin is up with 1 on. 14 to 16
8:00 - Single. Scored the run. 15 to 16 and 1 out
8:03 - two outs
8:05 - Collin scored, tie game. Winning run on 3rd

Little League Baseball Playoffs 1st Game

Final score - we won the nail bitter by one run. This was our first game of the playoffs. As of now, we have only lost one game this season. This was an exciting game.

Collin hit a line drive and scored the tenth run to put us in the lead for the first time in the game.
