BLACK FRIDAY

Ok, I go shopping every year with my Cousins and Aunts on Black Friday. This year was the craziest yet. There were more people out at 4:00 in the morning than I have ever seen. I would say four or five times the amount of people. And usually everyone is so happy and excited, not this time. People were grouchy and a bit rude. I think it was because they do not have that much money this year so they were trying to get the best deal they could.

Here is my shopping buddies, dressed as Thing 1 and Thing 2...

Happy Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving with my mom this year. We rotate were we go each year. We had a really nice time. We each told what we were thankful for. It is always fun to spend time with family.

Collin decided that he was going as a cowboy for this Thanksgiving. He had the hat, the pop guns, and the holsters.

My sister Holly, my niece Krista and my sister Darby with her new boyfriend George.

Here is the whole crazy crew...it was nice and my mom did a great job as usual cooking.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Wedding shower

We had a great shower this weekend for Roy and Haley. Thank you so much to my Aunts, Cousins and Sister for helping throw such a great shower. I think everyone really enjoyed the party and Roy and Haley really got tons of great gifts.

After the successful shower we decided to head up to the Treehouse and watch my Uncle Kevin's Band. I always enjoy watching them play. It takes me back to when I was a kid listening to Kevin play rock music. Fortunately for us the band is WAY better than 20 years ago.

Thanks again to everyone that came and we would like to welcome Haley to our family. Looking forward to the wedding.

Sleep over at Maw-Maw's

Special thank you to Maw-Maw for letting Kayla and Collin have a sleep over while we hosted a wedding shower for my younger brother. One might ask how on earth we could host a shower with our house damaged, but we gave it our best shot and the shower turned out great. I'll post shower pictures soon, but here is Kayla and Collin having fun with Maw-Maw's glasses.

Cub Scout Campout

Collin & I spent Saturday night camping out (in tents) at Yogi Bear park in Waller with the Cub Scouts. Collin enjoyed playing with all his friends. We arrived Saturday around 1:00. I began setting up our tent and putting out my Ez-up, while Collin rounded up all his buds. After camp was all set up we went for a little mini-golf and to play at the playground. It was soon time to begin getting dinner ready. This was alot like tailgating for me. I BBQ chicken for our Den (approx. 10) with Hot Dogs as the ole stand by. After dinner we got together around the campfire with the entire pack (approx. 70). This was a time for some of the older scouts (Webelos) to perform skits and songs. Next was to the movie area, Journey to the Center of the Earth was the main attraction. The movie was finished around 9:00 and it was time for some smores over the fire. Collin was really excited about this, which surprised me, because I didn't know he liked smores. I soon found out that indeed he does not like smores, he just likes to catch them on fire and wave them around. 10:00 comes and Collin & I head for our tent for a little Late night Nintendo DS. Collin was nice enough to take turns. Finally it was time to hit the pillow. HOLY CRAP it got cold!!!!! If that wasn't bad enough we were camped near the petting zoo and the Rooster started it's COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO at 4:30 in the morning. I was pondering all the breakfast recipes I knew with rooster as an ingredient. Morning finally came and breakfast was cooked and eatin' before tearin' down everything to pack up. We got back home right at 12:00, just in time to see the Texans lose a close one to the Ravens 13-41. I had a great weekend with Collin as I become increasingly aware of the fact it will soon be uncool to go camp in a tent with your Dad. And for all you fellow "All Jacked UP" campers that read this blog, it was very difficult to go to Yogi and not throw a single washer or drink a single beer. CHEERS, TIM

Space Derby

Tim and Collin had to create a little rocket out of a block of wood. I was impressed with their rocket. Tim of course did some research on it and spent a lot of time working with it. They did a great job on the races. They won all three. Thanks to Kayla for taking the pictures.

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween. We did our usual of walking the neighborhood. Collin and Tim had very scary costumes this year!

Alexis was a Clown, Kayla was a Southern Bell, Cory was a Race Car Driver, and Collin was the Grim Reaper (very scary),
