3rd Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest

Each year for the past three years we have invited all of our neighbors over for the kids to carve or decorate pumpkins and we give prizes for first, second and third place. One set of neighbors that have older kids are the judges and they take their job very seriously.

Go Texans!

Every Texans season I bring Kayla to a game and Collin to a game. Today I brought Collin. It was Collins first taste of tailgating before the game. WHAT A GAME. The Texans all but gave the game away, as they seem to have mastered. With 50 seconds left down by 5 on their own 20 yard line the Texans march down the field for a game winning touchdown with 2 seconds left. Texans win 29-28. WHAT A GAME. Collin's favorite part was that I brought the playstation for us to play while tailgating before the game. All in all a perfect father & son day...

House news

The adjuster came today. It went good, as far as we can tell. He is turning in to get us a new roof, new cabinets, new counter tops, new floors and sheet rock replacement. So we are hoping to be able to get work started soon. We have gotten on a roofers list so we should have something done on that in about four weeks.

Let's hope for no rain until then!

Kid stuff

As each day goes by we try to get everything back to normal. We still have not had our adjuster appointment yet. We have plastic in the kitchen on the ceiling and a tarp on the roof. The adjuster is expected on Saturday. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it all works out. Collin and Kayla had some friends over this weekend for a sleep over.
