Merry Christmas with Granny

We got together with Granny on December 28th after Tim and Scott came home from the Texans game. Ann had several trees go down during the storm so the evening started with Tim and Jeff Ham planting two trees. We had a nice get together and it was our last one before getting back to work.

Get together with Grandma A and Grandpa Mikey

Kelly, Scott and the three kids drove straight from Dallas to meet us on Dec 26th at Estebans for some Mexican food and then a get together with Ann and Michael. The dinner was a nice change from the regular Christmas food to something a little different. The five kids did great at the restaurant, but were all ready to dive into the presents when we got home. Collin loved his Star Wars Gear and Kalya got a Wii Fit. We have so enjoyed the Wii Fit. We have all tried the hula hooping and have broken a sweat.

Christmas with Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw

Thank you Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw for a great Christmas dinner. We enjoyed opening all of our presents and our stockings that Santa dropped at your house. We loved it.

Santa came to the Rainey's

And he brought the kids some electric scooters. They are really cool. Kayla's looks like she is riding a moped and Collin's looks like a dirt bike. I road Kayla's for a brief moment and it was really fun. She better watch out, I might sneak it off sometime.

Christmas Eve with the Emery Family

We had a great get together at my Aunt Judy's for Christmas Eve. I think that we probably had about 35 people or maybe even more show up this year. I truly enjoyed this year even more than years past. It seemed like we were able to enjoy each others company more this year. It might be because my kids are getting older and I don't have to worry about them every minute, but non the less, we had a wonderful time. Special thank you to Judy and the clan for the great food.

We had Roy, Haley, Mom, Buddy, Krista, Darcy, Julia, and Abigail over for a Christmas gift exchange. Everyone enjoyed the food, company and if you ask the kids the presents most of all.

Darcy Graduated

Actually she graduated in August, but she just walked this weekend. It was awesome. I am so proud of her. She graduated Magna Cum Laude (who knows if I am spelling that right). As you can see she was decorated beyond belief. She did a great job. She already has one semester down towards her masters degree!

Congratulations to Brandy Too!

The gang afterwards.

Kayla's First Dance at school

Kayla had her first dance at school. It was a Christmas Dance. Thank goodness they line dances the whole time. I wasn't sure I was ready for a boy to ask her to dance.

This is Kayla and her friend Kennedy.

It Does Snow In TEXAS

It isn't another Christmas Miracle like we had a few years ago, but it is snowing. I can't believe it is snowing again. It has snowed more in the last few years here in Texas, than it has in my entire life here.

The snow started collecting on the ground. WOW.....

Bahamas

Last week Tim and I went on a fabulously relaxing trip. We could not have asked for it at a better time. With all of the things going on with our house, we needed a break. We stayed at the Atlantis resort in Nassau, Bahamas. As you can probably imagine we took over 150 pictures so it was hard to pick which ones to post.

The is us at our first dinner in the Bahamas. We started out with a great Bohemian meal at good old American Johnny Rockets (ha ha). We had burgers, fries and onion rings.

Our first full day there we went to the straw market and had a little drink and Senior Frogs.
The next day was a little warmer, so I talked Tim into going down the slide. This is actually him in the picture.... After you slide down this you go through a tube that takes you through a shark tank. Pretty interesting.
This is the resort we stayed at.
This is us, relaxing by the pool.
Tim brought a underwater camera and he went snorkeling. This is one of the schools of fish he swam through.
Dinner out with the group at Coconuts. We had planned to go to the Fish Fry, where all of the locals had suggested. We got there and it wasn't to appealing. So we called our cab driver back and he took us here. It was a nice dinner and it was Bohemian food.
Larry, Lori and Tim at the one and only Beach Club.

This is the private island that we took a boat ride over too. I so think I could stay here for longer than a day. It was beautiful. Very Secluded.

Tim and I parasailing, we really had a fun time with this!

By the end we thought we were the King and Queen of the Atlantis and they had a chair specially made for us...and all of the other kings and queens.

Words can't describe how much of a nice time we had. I loved it.
