Florida Day 5

On day 4 we took a break. We hung around the hotel, went to the store to get ready for the beach the next day and went to the movies to see Karate Kid. It was relaxing.

Thursday, June 24th we got up early and went to Clearwater beach. It was so beautiful. It was a calm day on the water. Very little waves and the weather was great.


Shortly after we got there we noticed this ship. I told the kids jokingly that pirates were coming. It was cute.

Afterwards we got together for a group dinner. It was fun. We ate at Texas Roadhouse, which was a little odd considering we were in Florida and we are from Texas.

Florida Day 3

We started out the day by heading up to Rogers Park. It is a small area that is feed by spring water. So the water was really cold, but it was hot outside so it felt good.

Of course it was necessary to bury each other in the sand. Kayla was first up.

Afterwards we headed back to the hotel, showered up, and then over to Aunt Cindy's for a cookout.

Ok, one of my cousins is about to open a pet shop next week. They already have some of their animals. This is Collin holding a Snake. YIKES.

We had a cookout. It was really nice. We had about 15 poeple show up. It was fun.

Florida road trip day 2

The second day of driving was a little longer than we had hoped, but we made it! Aunt Cindy came straight to the hotel and meet us here. Her and Mom were excited to see each other.

We ended up going out for BBQ for dinner. Who would have thought we would eat that in Florida, but it was good.

Afterwards, we headed over to my cousin Denise's house. She has horses so of course the kids had to go check them out.

They also just had a litter of kittens. This is Amanda, Kayla, and Collin.

Florida - Day 1

Sunday, June 20, 2010 we headed out to Flordia. Our main goal was for Mom to get to visit with Aunt Cindy. As for the rest of the trip, just to have fun.

After about 10 hours of driving we stopped in Pensacola. We took a drive down to the beach to hte board walk. It was a nice evening and they had a band. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Great time. We headed out to our destination first thing in the morning.

Kayla's Dance Recital

This year Kayla decided to get back into dance. I was happy because I know how much she loves it. Kayla we are so proud of you. Your recital went so good and you have gotten better each year. WE LOVE YOU!

Sylvan Beach Day

We had an awsome time at Sylvan Beach Day. Texas Coastal Cookers did great. They got First place brisket and third place chickens (or vice versa). I was so proud of Roy and his team. I know they are new to this cookoff stuff, but that is a good start.

We got there a little late because Collin had a baseball game, but Dad came back up. It was so great to spend some time with him.
Roger Creager was the entertainement and he was awesome. I didn't know he was so good.

Kickball

Ok we had our first week of kickball. Who knew that kickball would be so much fun. We are playing in an adult co-ed league. My first time up to kick I was nervous, but it all worked out. It was a ton of fun. It was fun doing a sport with my hubby and the camping group and some of their friends. By the way, I was SOOO sore the next few days.
